What is Pathways to Employment?
Pathways to Employment is a work readiness program offered by The Arc of the Capital Area, designed to help individuals prepare for meaningful and integrated employment. This 5-week, lesson-based course is offered at no cost to individuals who meet specific program criteria, such as living in Austin, TX, or within Travis County.
During the program, participants receive training in essential employment areas, including resume creation and enhancement, interview preparation, job application skills, and more. Each participant is partnered with a career specialist, providing one-on-one support to develop a personalized employment plan, explore their goals, and create a clear path to achieving them.
This program also focuses on helping participants access Texas Workforce Commission services and ensuring they have the necessary support to succeed on their employment journey.
